Established in 1995, Community Evaluation NI (CENI) is a not-for-profit organisation providing support for impact practice to the third sector and its funders.

At CENI we know that an independent third sector makes a unique contribution to everyone’s wellbeing. Our role is to enable the sector to identify its impact so that it can improve effectiveness, secure resources and inform practice and policy.  We help funders to plan and evidence the impact of their investment in the sector. And we bring funders and the third sector together to build supportive relationships.

We specialise in work that impacts on communities, social inclusion and how we support one another and live together. Our approach reflects our belief that quality, equality, collaboration and co-design are essential elements of good impact practice – from design to delivery, evaluation to adaptation.

Impact Leadership: We are an independent champion that innovates and promotes good impact practice.

Knowledge & Skills:  We provide training, support and mentoring to develop understanding and skills in all aspects of impact practice.

Impact Planning: We work with projects, organisations, government departments, statutory agencies and partnerships to develop impact-focused plans.

Data & Evaluation: We undertake evaluations of projects, programmes and organisations and provide advice on what data to collect, how and when.
